AngryLips
AngryLips is a full-stack entertainment platform that brings the classic Mad Libs experience to the digital age. The ecosystem spans web, Fire TV, Alexa skills, and Roblox, creating a truly cross-platform entertainment experience.
The client needed a platform that could engage users across multiple devices and platforms while maintaining real-time synchronization. The system needed to support multiplayer gameplay, virtual currency (Volts), AI-generated voice synthesis for story narration, and seamless cross-platform authentication.
We architected a monorepo using Turborepo with shared packages for business logic and UI components. The web app uses Next.js 15 with Ably for real-time features. We integrated ElevenLabs for AI voice synthesis, Supabase for authentication and database, and built custom Roblox games in Luau. The Fire TV app was built with React Native, sharing core logic with the web platform.
